A subprocessor is a third-party service we use to help deliver CourseIO. This page lists who they are, what they do for us, and roughly what data passes through them. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture of how we handle your data.
Razorpay
Payment processing and subscription billing
Data involved: Billing/contact details, transaction metadata (no card numbers stored by CourseIO)
Anthropic, Google, and OpenAI
Generating course structure, scripts, and quiz content from your prompts (multi-provider, with automatic failover between them)
Data involved: Prompts and generated course content
ElevenLabs
AI voice narration for generated course videos
Data involved: Lesson script text sent for narration
AssemblyAI
Speech-to-text transcription (subtitles for generated videos, and text extraction from uploaded audio/video source material)
Data involved: Audio/video files and resulting transcripts
Google / YouTube API Services
Publishing generated lesson videos to a channel you connect
Data involved: OAuth tokens, channel name, uploaded video files (only when you connect and use Publishing)
Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL
Runs the CourseIO application, database, background workers and file storage (Frankfurt, Germany (EU, eu-central-1))
Data involved: All account and course data, uploaded source material, generated videos and exports
Postmark (ActiveCampaign, LLC)
Transactional email — sign-in codes, invitations, billing and account notices (United States)
Data involved: Name, email address and the content of those emails
Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.)
Error reporting for the app and API (United States)
Data involved: Technical error details: page, browser, request path, your user id; secrets are removed before sending
PostHog, Inc. (EU cloud)
Product analytics — only if you opt in to analytics cookies
Data involved: Anonymous device id, pages visited, product events; your user id and email after sign-in
